Christmas Celebrations

I know I am a little late with the weekly blog but hopefully you all can forgive me it being my first Christmas with the baby!! Also apologies for no weekly recipe, but hopefully you have enjoyed some of the Christmas ones. I have had a great time with family, we had Christmas dinner at home with Baby Steel, my Mother and the in laws. This meant I was able to try and control my sugars and look after the baby ...

The Arrival of Baby Steel

The morning finally arrived and we went to the hospital but we were waiting for ages even though there were no emergencies, however they were short staffed. They could not get the sliding scale insulin/saline drip into my hand before we went into theatre. My sugars were 6.4 so the anaesthetist discussed not putting the sliding scale in as the operation should only last an hour and after that I should be able to manage my sugars. I went for the swine flu jab this week, I wasn’t going to bother but after definitely having a c-section I thought I would be quite vulnerable to infection.
