3.9% of Type 1 Diabetics in the UK with an insulin pump

I am very interested in the pump, not to get one as I know I do not meet the criteria, but I am trying to understand how many type 1 diabetics use the pump affectively. Whether or not you are able to get a pump may be determined by where you live in the UK, even if you meet the requirements about high Hb1Ac levels and not being able to control through injecting, it looks like the post code you live at will also determine whether you qualify! So I then eat some digestive biscuits. I feel as if I am quite good at adjusting my insulin according to what I have been doing and what...

Whisky from Urine!?

Todays blog may not be to everyones taste, but my sister in law sent me the following link about a Type 1 who is making whisky from urine, the urine is from elderly type 2's. I don't think I would like to taste it, I think I will stick to the red wine! At least this is another case where people with diabetes are thinking outside the box! ...
