No Exercise this weekend but I am poorly….

I know I promised I would carry on the good work of last weekend and do more exercise this week, I do have two excusses: 1. Job Interviews - Seem to be taking up so much time & energy 2. Since Thursday I have had ear ache and felt run down Are these good enough excusses? I know the answer is a "No" as if I ould have been exercising I probably wouldn't have felt so rundown. I have managed to eat as normal, matbe a little less but I have managed to correct my insulin to the lesser carbs. O...  

Some Positive News from the Budget

I know most of you may not be inpressed with the Budget this week, however there was some goods news regarding health funding. An extra ¬£100 million of capital funding will be given to science institutions, and investments will be made in order to encourage key players in the life sciences sector to establish small and medium enterprises in Britain. Exercise does make me feel good – just need to do more…

The job hunting is going well and now that I am temping I am still eating well. With a luch break I find I am making my sandwiches and not picking. I am also sleeping better as I think keeping busy helps get a goods nigh sleep! My sugars this week have also been good, I did have one bad hypo in the office but luckily it was someones birthday so there was cakt at hand! New Year, New Job, New Me?

It certainly has been a very hectic couple of weeks. I have been concentrating on the site and some consulting as well as looking after my gorgeous baby boy for the past 6 months, but after the New Year we decided that I must get a full time job! It's been a lot harder than normal to find a role, I have registered with lots of accountancy agencies whereas normally I just have to pick up the phone to one - it certainly is a hard job market out there. I was always told to wash my hands before I tested my sugar levels, as this would give me a more accurate reading. Especially if I had been handling something sugary. I am therefore unsure why we or companies are spending money on researching this. News Roundup W/E 6th March 2011

Good news for people with diabetes living in Scotland, from next month they will no longer need to pay ¬£3 per item on their prescription. This should help people manage their diabetes and not be scared of using too much medicine or using needles too many times! My only problem with this is it doesn't bring Scotland in line with England, I agree that people with long term illnesses/conditions should receive free prescriptions however from next month prescriptions will be free for ALL in Scotland...
