I am having a dinner party and one of my guests has diabetes, what's the best thing to cook?
Vikki, Manchester
When my sugars are low the best thing for me is a glass of milk and a couple of digestive biscuits – hope that helps.
Everyone should be able to have a good massage, if you need to book I would go for something safe like a foot or head and shoulder massage, try to avoid heat based e.g. hot stones. I have found many places will not give hot treatments to diabetics this is because it affects glucose levels. If you manage your sugar levels well you should be able to inform them, I have signed a disclaimer before to ensure I could have a hot stones treatment, but mt control was very good.
I have my daughter in law stay over occasionally, she has type 1 diabetes. I would like to know what the best thing to have in for her when her sugar levels go low?
It's my daughters birthday and want to get her a massage for her present but I was told diabetics were not able to have them – does anyone know if this is correct?
